We are looking for a strategic Procurement Manager for a global leading networking firm in Irvine, CA! This individual will have an opportunity to oversee the Procurement department, build a team, and be involved with strategic planning, financing, and operations with C-Suite Executives.
Overview:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the acquisition of goods and services essential for operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of the procurement process.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Create and manage procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and aligned with company objectives.
- Supplier Management: Identify and establish relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to ensure consistent quality and delivery.
- Cost Management: Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure the organization is achieving the best value for its purchases, and implement cost-saving initiatives where possible.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
- Risk Management: Assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate these risks to ensure continuity of supply.
- Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory team to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained, avoiding both overstock and stockouts.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, generate reports, and provide insights for decision-making processes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, production, and logistics, to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with company goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, plus if experience with technology purchases.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proven track record of successfully building and scaling teams.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and procurement best practices.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in Procurement (e.g., CPM, CPSM, or CIPS) is a plus.
